Just Wanna Dance Studios is pleased to announce our 2010-2011 Competition and Performing Troupes. Being a member of the Just Wanna Dance Studios Competition and Performing Troupes requires a one year commitment by both the student AND the parents. Our companies are described below and provide you with total estimated cost for additional performances, competitions and workshops fees as well as the costumes.

In addition to the audition registration fee and normal class fees, each Performing troupe member is required to purchase the troupe leotard, bag and cover-up and wear them to all troupe classes and events. Performing Troupe Placement is based on skill level and is age appropriate. Dancers will be placed with other dancers their own age for the audition; however this does not mean they will be selected for a specific troop based on age alone.

If you want to audition for our 2010 -2011 Competition and Performing Dance troupes, you MUST attend this dance camp. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Featuring instruction by guest Master Teachers and Choreographers in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acro, Stretch and Musical Theatre. The audition routine will be taught on Friday after camp for all participants who have registered to audition. Auditions are the following week. For more information, see our website. Performing and Competition Dance Troupes

As a competition performing studio, Just Wanna Dance Studios has multiple performing and competition dance troupes. Acceptance into each dance troupe is for one year and each dancer must audition each year. We do not have a set number of members for each dance troupe and base the size according to the talent that is auditioned each year. Company dancers take classes 2 - 4 days a week, perform throughout the year at local events, attend conventions and intensive dance workshops and compete in talent competitions. Attendance is mandatory for ALL company events, classes and rehearsals. We require parents to agree to commit to terms and conditions for company placement (refer to the Company General Information packet).

To be eligible to audition for company each year, we require that each dancer attend the Audition Week Dance camp and attend both parts of the audition process. Audition camp week is July 26 - 30, 2010. Auditions will be held July 31, 2010.

Crystallites Dance Troupe - For our youngest serious dancers (ages 4-6) and is a stepping stone to RAZZLE DAZZLE, INDIGO, ENCORE or PULSE companies. These dancers are selected during August, by invitation only and have a separate audition schedule as we like to observe them for first month of class.

These dancers will take 5 classes a week in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre & Company Choreography classes. They will perform throughout the year and compete in local area talent competitions. The monthly tuition is $150/month for all classes. Additional annual expenses for costumes, class clothing (leotards, shoes, tights), competition fees, company bag, warm-up suit, performance fees, conventions, workshops, etc. will run approximately $700 - 1,050.

Razzle Dazzles Dance Troupe - For our younger serious dancers (ages 5- 7) and is a stepping stone to INDIGO, ENCORE or PULSE companies. These dancers may attend the Summer Dance Camp and audition in July or may be invited with a separate audition schedule at the end of August. These dancers will take 6 classes a week in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Technique, Musical Theatre & Company Choreography classes. They will perform throughout the year and compete in local area talent competitions. The monthly tuition is $150/month for all classes. Additional annual expenses for costumes, class clothing (leotards, shoes, tights), competition fees, company bag, warm-up suit, performance fees, conventions, workshops, etc. will run approximately $700 - 1,050.

INDIGO Dance Troupes - For dancers ages 7-10 and is the stepping stone to our ENCORE or PULSE companies. Dancers must attend the summer dance company camp in July to participate. These dancers will take 7 classes a week in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Technique, Musical Theatre & Company Choreography classes. They will perform throughout the year and compete in local area talent competitions, attend workshops and conventions. The monthly tuition is $185/month for all classes. Additional annual expenses for costumes, class clothing (leotards, shoes, tights), competition fees, company bag, warm-up suit, performance fees, conventions, workshops, etc. will run approximately $1,350 - 1,950.

ENCORE Dance Troupes - For dancers ages 9 -15 and is the stepping stone to our PULSE companies. Dancers must attend the summer dance company camp in July to participate. These dancers will take 9 classes a week in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Technique, Stretch/Pilates/Leaps/Turns, Musical Theatre & Company Choreography classes. They will perform throughout the year and compete in local area talent competitions, attend workshops and conventions. The monthly tuition is $220/month for all classes. Additional annual expenses for costumes, class clothing (leotards, shoes, and tights), competition fees, company bag, warm-up suit, performance fees, conventions, workshops, etc. will run approximately $1,800 - 2,500.

PULSE Dance Troupes - For our most serious, distinguished dancers with outstanding technique, performance quality and style, ages 10 - 17. Perfect for dancers who are considering professional dance careers. These dancers will take 10 classes a week in Ballet, Ballet Technique, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Stretch/Pilates/Leaps & Turns, Musical Theatre & Company Choreography classes. They will perform throughout the year and compete in local area talent competitions, attend workshops and conventions. The monthly tuition is $250/month for all classes. Additional annual expenses for costumes, class clothing (leotards, shoes, tights), competition fees, company bag, warm-up suit, performance fees, conventions, workshops, etc. will run approximately $1,950 - 2,800.
