Ballet & Pointe Mistress/Choreographer
Joanna Paraschos
|
Joanna has been in the field of dance for over 50 years.
She brings a wealth of knowledge and study in both classical and contemporary
ballets. She has performed with The National Ballet, The Royal Ballet,
The New York City Ballet, The Los Angeles Ballet, The American Ballet Theater,
and Harkness Ballet. An award-winning choreographer, she has staged and
choreographed many pieces worldwide including: Shadows, Firebird, Don Quixote,
Romeo & Juliet, Giselle, Outcast, Gaite Parisienne, and many more. Joanna has
also performed in many shows, such as: Hello Dolly, Oliver, The Fantastiks, Jesus
Christ Superstar, Oklahoma, The Doll House, Showboat, Once Upon A Mattress, and
others. She has also been heavily involved with bringing dance education into
the public school system, as well as having helped to train the Seattle Supersonics,
Los Angeles Lakers, L.A. Rams, and Raiders, and members of the 1976-1984 U.S. Olympic
Teams. Joanna will be a wonderful addition to our studio.

Kim Bass
|
Kim Bass began dancing at the age of 10, taking ballet,
tap and jazz classes and discovering a passion for performing. In 1995, Ms.
Bass began her amateur career by competing in Pro-Am and Couples competitions.
She has also ventured into the Ballroom and the International Latin Dance circles.
Since turning professional in 2004, Kim has been traveling around the United States
competing, teaching and choreographing in the highly competitive field of Country Western
and Swing Dance.
She is an appointed Member of the United Country Western Dance Council and a Professional
Member of the World Swing Dance Council. She is also the director of the Sunshine State
Dance Challenge, a Country Western and Swing Dance competition held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
On January 2008, Ms. Bass began her UCWDC Judges Certification and now travels to compete and judge.

Alexis Klakring
|
Alexis Klakring grew up in Annapolis, Maryland where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe,
and modern for over 20 years. For 13 years she competed as a member of a competition team for
major competitions such as Dance Educators of America, Dance Masters of America, and Tremaine.
After graduation she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she trained under the members of
the Koresh Dance Company. She was an instructor and assistant director to the competition team
at Kay's Act II Dance Studio in Trevose, Pennsylvania. Her choreography has won 1st and 2nd place
in New York at the national dance competition for Tremaine. Alexis then moved on to become a part
of the Norwegian Sea Production Company as a main stage dancer. After two years with the cruise line
she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she has trained under and performed for Michael McDonough and is
now performing for and working with David Norwood.

Micheal McDonough
|
Micheal began his dance career at age 13 with tap dance. A graduate of the
Pebblebrook High School performing arts program, he continued his dance
education as a scholarship student in the musical theatre department at the
University of Cincinnati. Leaving school to begin his professional career with
the Theatre of the Stars tour of "South Pacific", Micheal went on to work with
Anita Bryant and Lee Greenwood in Tennessee, the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle
Beach, and Holland America cruise lines. Upon returning home to Atlanta, he
began teaching and choreographing for local studios and companies, including
Atlanta Jazz Theater, Cobb Dance Academy, and the Cartersville Ballet. Regional
credits include in 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' (Joseph),
'How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying' (J. Pierrpont Finch), 'Fame'
(Nick), 'A Chorus Line' (Don), and 'Crazy for You' (Lank), as well as being a
feature performed in the Miss Georgia Competition. Micheal continues to perform
and teach around the Southeast.
